ADVANCE ORIGAMI COURSE

The recovery of three-dimensional configurations of a scene from its image is one of the most important steps in computer vision. The Origami world is a model for understanding line drawings in terms of surfaces, and for finding their 3- D ConfiRurafions.

This course will take you through the complexity of folds, patterns, forms, and the geometry behind all of this.  

We will be explaining how science, maths, and Origami are interlinked. And not just this, by the end of the 4th session, you will have created your own lamp using the techniques learned in the course.

• Introduction to Modular Origami.
• Understanding and inventing your own forms.
• Movie Screening.

DAY 2: OCTOBER 10, 2021 (6 PM - 8 PM)

LEARNING:

• Advancing to Curved folding
• Understanding Wet folding and how medium plays an important role in it.

DAY 3: OCTOBER 17, 2021 (6 PM - 8 PM)

LEARNING:

• Introduction to tessellation
• Unlocking the codes of tessellation and creating your own patterns.
• Understanding geometry and applying it to create various forms.
• The behaviour of tessellation on different surfaces.

DAY 4: OCTOBER 24, 2021 (6 PM - 8 PM)

LEARNING:

• Apply the teachings of pattern-making and create your own lamp.
• Understand scale and proportions to make aesthetically appealing forms.
• Closure.
